Reports To: Development Director

Salary Range: $33,000 - $37,000 annually, based on skills and experience

Terms of Employment: Salaried, 12 months

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Priority given to candidates with three years related work experience or advanced training/education in administrative functions
  • Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Office Suite

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Development Office by answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and supporting visitors
  • Maintain the database, to include data entry tasks, creating reports, and mailing lists
  • Draft, edit, and send correspondence, to include letters, mailers, and other documents
  • Communicate with vendors. Print, order, mail, or coordinate delivery of items such as shirts, posters, banners, postcards, and other materials
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies
  • Maintain calendar of important deadlines
  • Manipulate spreadsheets and respond to data requests
  • Assist with keeping website up-to-date
  • Assist in the execution of annual fundraising events, center tours, and special events
  • Attend meetings and draft minutes as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Pays attention to detail and has highly organized work habits
  • Works well independently, with minimal supervision, by exercising discretion and judgement
  • Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to situations as they arise

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted
