At Peake Childhood Center, the month of June reminds us that for every ending there is also a new beginning. While we celebrate the achievements of our oldest students at our Hampton campus, we are also thrilled to welcome our newest learners in Newport News.
We hosted a Moving Up Ceremony for the 25 students in Hampton who each walked across the bridge, symbolizing their transition from Peake to ‘big kid school’. These bright, confident children spent their early years learning and growing with us. Five of these students attended Peake since infancy! Equipped with a robust early childhood education, they are now poised for success in kindergarten, and we could not be prouder.
Meanwhile, in Newport News, another significant milestone unfolds. At our newly opened campus, children are just beginning their Peake experience. Many of the new students have never experienced a childcare setting until now. They are navigating their first classroom routines, meeting new friends, and tackling new skills. For these young children and their families, it’s the start of a life-changing journey in learning and discovery.
At Peake, we believe that an affordable, early childhood education is an important chapter in a child’s life story. Whether that chapter is opening or closing, we are privileged to play a pivotal role in their developmental journey.
